Swimmer
By the age of 20, Nadine Neumann had already lived a lifetime of success and setbacks. She overcame Chronic Fatigue Syndrome at the age of 15, only to have her dream of an Olympic berth in Barcelona shattered by a broken neck. She fought back to swim at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games in the 200m Breaststroke where she finished 6th in the final in a personal best time. She competed in every major international event from 1996-1999 and captained the Australian Swimming Team at the 1998 Commonwealth Games and 1999 Pan Pacific Championships.
While the 200m Breaststroke was her main event, she also competed in 400 Individual Medley, 800 Freestyle and 200 Butterfly, making finals in some of these at the Pan Pacific Championships, the Commonwealth Games and World Championships. She was dubbed "Miss Versatility" in the Sunday Telegraph in August 1997 after competing in seven events at the Pan Pacific championships, finalling in six and medalling in two.

Coaching
As a Breaststroke/Medley swimmer, Nadine had to master all four strokes, developing a good knowledge of technique as well as the principles of stamina and strength that are needed to become an all-round efficient swimmer.
She has taught swimmers from tiny tots to beginner adults and has coached at an intermediate level as well as running swim clinics and stroke correction classes. Her sessions can include stretching and dry-land strengthening exercises, stroke correction in all four strokes, starts, turns and finishes, as well as cool-down, relaxation, mental preparation and race-day tips, goal setting and motivation. Nadine is happy to cater for individuals or groups and can tailor a program to your needs.
